Gilbert (Gib) passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday 27th of November 2025, at the Borders General Hospital. Much loved husband of the late Jean, devoted dad of Stuart and Jane, dearest father-in-law of Douglas, adored granda of Georgia and Robbie and a very dear friend to many. Formerly the Head of the Building Department at Borders College. A celebration of Gilbert’s life will be held on Friday 19th of December at 11am at the Borders Crematorium in Melrose followed by a funeral tea at the Kingsknowes Hotel in Galashiels, to which all friends are invited. Family flowers only, please.
